Friday morning, April 4th

Today is the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I felt this was a very moving article, especially the impact of his death on his children.

I was surprised to learn that he was 39 when he was killed. He accomplished so much in so little time. It's amazing to realize that at 36 I've had almost as much time on this earth as he did.

It takes courage for anyone to stand up for their convictions, particularly if your stance may bring you physical or emotional pain or even death. If more people spoke out against injustice, this could be a much better world.
